Overview

Embark Cabin John is looking for part-time Clinical Support Staff who align with our mission of reducing adolescent and young adult anxiety, depression, and suicide to join our OP, IOP and PHP clinic in Cabin John, MD. Clinical Support Staff provide broad support to our outpatient behavioral health team by helping lead group therapy, assisting with client check-in and general orientation, and helping clients practice skills that promote emotional regulation.

 

Embark operates behavioral health facilities across the US that support adolescents, young adultsand their families by offering a full continuum of care from Long Term Residential, Short Term Residential to our IOP/PHP clinics to virtual outpatient care. Our local IOP/PHP clinics are a critical part of our strategy to increase access to life-saving mental health treatments.

Responsibilities

As Clinical Support Staff, you will be supported by an experienced Executive Director, Clinical Director and Administrative Team that are all focused on the mission to facilitate lasting positive change for young people and their families.

 

The Clinical Support Staff is a part-time position. Hours are variable and subject the clinic's needs. Our IOP program runs M-F between 8:30 AM -7:30 PM.

Attendance at team meetings outside of these hours may be required.

Qualifications

Experience working with youth is a must. Experience working in a behavioral health setting is strongly preferred however education in a behavioral health science related field may substitute for actual work experience.

 

  • Completion or near completion of bachelor’s degree in behavioral sciences
  • Experience working in a behavioral health setting
  • Ability to pass a state background check, fingerprints, and drug screen
  • Effective communication skills
  • Must be a team player
  • Flexibility is a must
  • First Aid & CPR certified or willingness to become certified
