Pay: $18 to $20 per hour, depending on experience.

Schedule Options - Your Choice:

  • Day Shift (6:30 AM–4:30 PM): Sunday–Wednesday or Wednesday–Saturday
  • Evening Shift (12:30 PM–10:30 PM): Sunday–Wednesday or Wednesday–Saturday

Are you empathetic, patient, and passionate about empowering adolescents on their journey toward sustainable mental wellness? Join us at Embark as a Behavioral Health Technician, where you will play a pivotal role in transforming the lives of teens aged 12-17.

 

Every day, you will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to support adolescents in their mental health journey, guiding them through experiential therapies like art, music, hiking, and fitness. To thrive at Embark, you must have an empathetic heart and a commitment to maintaining personal and professional boundaries while helping us reduce teen mental health challenges from today’s all-time highs to all-time lows by 2028.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a positive role model and foster a supportive atmosphere for adolescents.
  • Provide safe verbal de-escalation or physical intervention techniques with upset teens as they arise
  • Communicate important observations and updates to the Program Director
  • Document client progress notes daily at the end of each shift.
  • Encourage teen engagement in activities of daily living (ADLs) and coping skill applications with an empathetic heart.

Qualifications

  • Age: 21+ years of age or older
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent G.E.D required. Associates or bachelor's in human services, psychology, criminal justice, or related field is preferred.
  • Skills: Quick decision-making skills and a growth mindset with a focus on Embarks core values.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience working with adolescent populations is preferred
  • Certifications: CPR and First Aid certification preferred, will provide training
  • Background Checks: Must pass pre-employment drug screen and federal and state background check in concordance with Missouri state laws.
