SALARY RANGE: $115,000 - $135,000 (DOE)

Join us at Embark Behavioral Health’s short-term young adult residential treatment program in Bend, Oregon

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop the leadership and staff team.
  • Ensure ongoing programmatic excellence, rigorous program evaluation, and consistent quality of communications and systems.
  • Deepen and refine all aspects of communications—from web presence to external relations with the goal of creating a stronger brand.
  • Use external presence and relationships to garner new opportunities.
  • Begin to build partnerships in new markets and continue to establish relationships with referral base.
  • Coordinates and works with leadership team to ensure the program is staffed appropriately to serve student’s needs.
  • Coordinates and works with leadership team to ensure mentors and therapists receive appropriate training to allow them to successfully work with students.
  • Review quarterly programming including group schedules/programming and recreational trips.
  • Coordinate with the leadership team to ensure annual calendar is implemented and running smoothly.
  • Review incident and medication error reports submitted by staff and ensure all follow up is complete and training or policy change is complete if applicable.
  • Emergency Action Plan: knows the steps and crisis situations to enact the EAP. 
  • Appropriate professional boundaries with students, staff, and families.
  • Clinical support and training as needed.
  • Implement annual marketing and growth plan.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

SPECIFIC JOB COMPENTENCIES

  • Direct multiple areas of the program including staffing, program development, and various departments (education, activity).
  • Oversee daily operations of the program.
  • Confer with leadership team regarding job postings, applicants, new hires, and discipline, worker’s compensation in case of incident, and ongoing personnel matters and questions.
  • Develop and implement curriculums, policies, and programs.
  • Conduct ongoing evaluation of status and risk assessment.
  • Work as part of the treatment team, directly with students, and with therapists and families to provide extra support for struggling students.
  • Respond to students, families, and staff in crisis situations.
  • Attend necessary workshops, events, and training seminars.
  • Communicate policy and information to program staff.
  • Communicate with Leadership Team and Founders.

 

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accomplishes all tasks as appropriate.
  • Be available to step in as needed so students and parents receive the best service possible.

Qualifications

The Executive Director will be thoroughly committed to the mission. All candidates should have proven leadership, coaching, and relationship management experience.

 

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND LICENSURE

  • Master’s degree in Business, Psychology, Social Work or related field. Bachelors considered if candidate has over 10 years executive leadership experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience working with adolescents and young adults presenting with mental health disorders and co-occurring disorders including substance abuse in a behavioral health setting.
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in staff management and supervision
  • Unwavering commitment to quality programs and data-driven program evaluation.
  • Demonstrated skills in organizational management with the ability to coach staff, manage, and develop high-performance teams, set and achieve strategic objectives, and manage a budget (with the founders).
  • Experience with working with the public, families and clients with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders and cultures.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; a persuasive and passionate communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Action-oriented, entrepreneurial, adaptable, and innovative approach to business planning.
  • Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people.
  • Passion, idealism, integrity, positive attitude, mission-driven, and self-directed.
  • Refined and well-organized multi-tasking skills
  • In-depth knowledge of risk management models and skills
  • Current CPR/First Aid
