Location: Bay Area - 25 Mile Radius of our Walnut Creek clinic

Salary: $110,000 - $120,000 per year, with bonus potential (DOE)

Embark Behavioral Health is hiring a mission-driven outreach professional to help families find life-changing care. As the Director of Clinical Partnerships (DCP), you’ll focus on building referral relationships with hospitals, schools, and mental health providers to support enrollment for our Walnut Creek program and other local and virtual programs.

This role focuses on strategic business development and collaboration, rather than managing a team directly. It involves frequent travel within the territory, connecting with referral partners, attending events, and presenting Embark’s full continuum of care. Occasional evening & weekend work is required, with flexible scheduling available.

Join us in reversing the trends of adolescent anxiety, depression, and suicide while helping youth and families in crisis find the support they need!

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Partnership Building: Develop and maintain relationships with referral sources (hospitals, schools, mental health professionals) to support program enrollment and position yourself as a trusted mental health expert in the community.
  • Outreach and Activity Standards: Ensure consistent engagement and pipeline growth by maintaining weekly outreach activity standards.
  • Admissions and Referral Coordination: Collaborate with admissions and referral partners to meet enrollment goals, and provide expert guidance to parents and referral sources.
  • Outreach Planning and Documentation: Develop and track a strategic outreach plan, manage a comprehensive resource list, and document progress.
  • Professional Engagement and Brand Support: Attend industry conferences, travel to treatment programs as needed, and support the program’s brand messaging for consistent communication with stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Local and Travel Requirements: Candidates must be based in the Walnut Creek area and use a personal vehicle for frequent business travel.
  • Education and Experience Requirements: A Bachelor’s degree or higher, with a minimum of 2–3 years in business development or sales within industries working with adolescents (e.g., behavioral health, hospitals, pharma).
  • Organization & Planning: Prioritizes tasks effectively, avoids last-minute decisions, and focuses on team goals.
  • Stress Management & Communication: Remains poised under pressure and excels in one-on-one, group, public speaking, and written communication.
  • Results-Oriented: Demonstrates a proven track record of success. Drives measurable outcomes, evaluates strategies for effectiveness, and commits to personal and professional growth.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Builds trust, adapts communication styles, and fosters mutually beneficial relationships. Prioritizes client and colleague perspectives, aligns with the organization’s core values, and establishes trust within the community.
  • Judgment: Demonstrates professional judgment, and analyzes opportunities for strategic decision-making.

Benefits

  • Competitive Salary and comprehensive Benefit Program that includes medical insurance with a generous company contribution towards a high deductible plan, dental insurance, vision insurance, voluntary life and AD&D insurance, long-term disability, 401K with company matching, and paid parental leave.
  • Company Paid Holidays plus a PTO accrual schedule.
  • Join a team of nationally recognized industry leaders who provide you with a framework of training, support, and long-term advancement opportunities.
