Compensation: $65,000 to $75,000, salaried

Position Overview: The Accounts Payable Supervisor (AP Supervisor) plays a critical role in supporting Embark’s financial operations, ensuring internal controls over payment processing and adherence to policies. This role involves managing cash operations, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day AP team operations, including payment selections and runs.
  • Review payment reports for discrepancies and resolve escalated payment issues.
  • Supervise, mentor, and train AP team members on processes and procedures.
  • Support management of operating cash balance.
  • Reconcile the AP subledger to the general ledger monthly and assist with annual audits.
  • Oversee annual 1099 filings and coordinate with third parties.
  • Account reconciliations.
  • Creating and updating SOP's. 
  • Drive process improvements and participate in ongoing training.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a high school diploma and 5+ years of accounts payable experience.
  • Strong preference for 2+ years in a senior or lead AP role.
  • Solid understanding of AP processes and GAAP accrual accounting principles.
  • Ability to respond to inquiries professionally and empathetically.
  • A growth-oriented, collaborative professional who can manage competing priorities.
