Residential Manager

Compensation: $24.25–$27/hour, DOE

Schedule:

  • Full-Time: Sun-Tues 7am-5:30pm, Wed 8am-5pm 
  • Rotating 12-hour Saturday shift approximately once per month

Opportunities for Advancement:

  • Incremental raises of $0.50 and $1.00 at 6 and 12 months, respectively, with participation in our Mastery Training Program

  • $3.00–$6.00/hour shift differential for short-notice or overnight shift coverage

Embark Behavioral Health Bend is seeking dedicated and experienced Residential Managers to join our exceptional team. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about mental health who bring supervisory experience or a background in mental health, psychology, social services, inpatient healthcare, direct support, or Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA) roles. Residential Managers play a crucial role in maintaining consistency and safety by upholding daily schedules, student expectations, and program policies. Leading a team of 3–4 Residential Mentors, Managers ensure students are cared for and supported in their journey toward improved mental health and personal growth. Our staff help youth and their families work on communication, emotional regulation, life skills, and social skills through extracurricular activities, work with animals, and academic progress.

 

About Us:
Located in Bend, Oregon, Embark Behavioral Health is a residential treatment facility serving teens aged 10–14 experiencing behavioral health challenges. Our family-style residence fosters community engagement and interpersonal development, creating a supportive environment for healing and growth.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the lead staff on shift, ensuring smooth operations and completion of all necessary tasks.
  • Supervise Residential Mentors by holding weekly meetings, providing feedback, and supporting their professional development.
  • Support training and onboarding of new mentors.
  • Monitor client whereabouts, safety, and emotional well-being through regular checks and documentation.
  • Maintain the program schedule and structure by holding consistent boundaries.
  • Communicate and document shift information effectively to support the team.
  • Respond to crises using de-escalation skills and training.
  • Provide behavioral and academic support during school hours.
  • Plan and engage in extracurricular activities with students, such as arts, crafts, sports, and outdoor adventures.
  • Occasionally support with meal prep or heating and serving meals in the kitchen.
  • Assist with residential maintenance, cleaning and administrative tasks as.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 21+ years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current First Aid and CPR certifications (or willingness to obtain)
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build healthy relationships
  • Proficiency in de-escalation techniques and behavioral intervention
  • Reliability, organization, and timeliness

 Preferred:

  • 2+ years of experience in a residential setting, wilderness therapy, or direct care role with youth
  • 1+ year of supervisory experience
