About the Internship

Embark Behavioral Health Bend is seeking passionate graduate-level clinical interns to join our team. This internship offers direct, hands-on clinical experience working with youth (ages 10–14) in a residential treatment setting. Interns receive supervision and training in:

  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

  • working with youth with diagnoses such as mood disorders, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, etc

  • Family systems work

  • Crisis intervention- CPI training

  • Recreational therapy

Interns work within a collaborative clinical team of 4 full-time clinicians and 1–2 interns, with opportunities for co-therapy and peer consultation.

Internship Details

πŸ“… Start Dates: Rolling (based on academic calendar)
πŸ“ Location: Bend, Oregon (on-site)
πŸ•’ Schedule: Flexible, 16–24 hrs/week (based on academic needs)
πŸ’Έ Compensation: Unpaid – for academic credit

 

Responsibilities

βœ” Conduct individual, group, and family therapy
βœ” Lead multiple weekly group sessions
βœ” Complete clinical documentation (notes, assessments, treatment plans)
βœ” Participate in treatment team meetings
βœ” Perform diagnostic assessments
βœ” Support family communication and discharge planning
βœ” Co-lead family workshops (as needed)

Qualifications

βœ… Currently enrolled in a Master’s program (Counseling, MFT, Social Work, or related)
βœ… Preferably in 2nd year of program
βœ… Prior experience working with youth
βœ… Strong interest in working with ages 10–14
βœ… Able to pass background check & drug screening
βœ… 2–3 professional or academic references
