Compensation: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour

Location: 65 N 1150 W, Hurricane Utah 84737 On-Site

Hours: Monday - Friday 10:30am - 6:30pm

Join Embark’s Stabilization and Assessment Program, a residential treatment center specializing in the stabilization and assessment of highly acute adolescent boys ages 12 to 17 and their families.

 

Nestled near the stunning Zion National Park, our Hurricane, Utah campus offers a serene, home-like environment where you’ll play a vital role in supporting students’ academic success during their therapeutic journey. This position works closely with our virtual teacher to provide individualized academic support, ensuring each student’s unique educational and emotional needs are met.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct academic support to students through individual, small group, and classroom instruction, adapting teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs.

  • Collaborate with the virtual education team to implement and monitor individualized academic plans aligned with each student’s treatment goals.

  • Track and document educational plans, progress, and outcomes in compliance with facility standards and reporting requirements.

  • Create and maintain a structured, supportive, and positive classroom environment conducive to learning and emotional regulation.

  • Supervise daily classroom activities and ensure seamless operation of the on-campus education program.

  • Implement and uphold classroom expectations, behavioral guidelines, and administrative policies.

  • Actively participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings to align educational strategies with therapeutic objectives.

  • Collaborate with direct care staff to provide consistent supervision and support for students during academic programming.

  • Utilize behavioral interventions such as DBT skills, redirection, and Safety Care techniques to assist students in moments of conflict or dysregulation.

  • Maintain compliance with all organizational policies, procedures, and safety protocols.

  • Attend mandatory trainings and complete all certification requirements within specified timelines.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree and relevant experience.
  • Experience working with Special Education client preferred.
  • Candidate should have experience in teaching different types of clients and ability to adjust their approach to meet the needs of all clients.
  • Able to pass federal background check and drug screening.
  • 21+ years of age.
