PRN Registered Nurse

 

Location: 3205 N Twyman Rd, Independence, MO 64058

Hourly Pay Rate: $40.00 - $45.00

Hours: 8-12 flexible hours per week

 

Are you a compassionate and skilled nurse ready to make a real impact in adolescent mental health? Every day, as a RN at Embark Behavioral Health, you'll be a trusted source of care and support for teens (ages 12-17)—assessing their needs, administering medications, and ensuring they feel safe and heard. You'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, communicate with families, and advocate for students in their healing journey. Responsibilities

  • Be a trusted caregiver by assessing and responding when a student isn’t feeling well.
  • Support student well-being by monitoring vitals, administering medications, and tracking health progress.
  • Collaborate with families and the care team by sharing important medical updates and advocating for student needs.
  • Ensure safety and accuracy by tracking and documenting medications, including narcotics, every shift.
  • Provide additional floor coverage on weekends as needed to support staff and students and receive training in safe verbal de-escalation and physical intervention techniques to support upset teens as they arise. 
  • Play a key role in the healing journey by observing and documenting mood, behavior, and overall health.

Qualifications

Required Certifications:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri
  • CPR Certification
  • Must be prepared to establish a CAQH profile and obtain a National Provider Identifier (NPI) as part of the onboarding process.

 

Required Skills:

  • Experience in medication administration and patient care
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, nursing techniques, and legal charting
  • Ability to assess vital signs and communicate medical information effectively

 

Preferred Experience:

  • Bedside hospital experience
  • Experience in diabetic care
  • Experience in Psychiatric Nursing
