Hourly Pay Rate: $14 - $18

Schedule: Sunday - Wednesday 6:00pm - 8:00pm

Three consecutive days off!

 

Are you driven to make a meaningful impact in the lives of teens? As a Lifeguard at Embark, every day you’ll help maintain a safe environment for adolescents (ages 12–17) during aquatic activities. You’ll provide swim instruction, uphold safety protocols, and respond effectively in emergencies. This role is part of a mission-focused team that values consistency, teamwork, and helping teens build confidence and practical life skills.

Responsibilities

  • Enforce pool policies, rules, and safety regulations to ensure the well-being of all swimmers.
  • Monitor swimmers and poolside activity to prevent accidents and respond promptly to emergencies.
  • Perform water rescues and administer CPR, first aid, and other emergency care as needed.
  • Manage the distribution, use, and collection of pool equipment.
  • Assist with daily pool operations and support team members during routine and emergency situations.
  • Instruct American Red Cross-certified swimming and water safety courses for individuals of all skill levels.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by the maintenance manager to support overall facility safety and programming.

Qualifications

  • Age: Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Certifications: Current certifications in American Red-Cross Lifeguard Training, CPR, First Aid, and Water Safety Instructor (WSI) certification are required.
  • Physical Requirements: Must have the strength and agility to perform water rescues and other essential duties, including standing, bending, and swimming during instruction and emergency response.
  • Work Conditions: Must be able to work in various weather conditions and tolerate exposure to sun and pool chemicals.
  • Professionalism: Must be able to interact professionally with others, including in high-pressure or emergency situations.
