Mental Health Therapist - Weekend Coverage!

 

Location: 5842 TN - 30 Benton, Tennessee 37307 

Salary: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year based on experience

Full time, On - Site position

Schedule: 40-hour work week including weekends, with two required weekend days and three flexible weekdays (Monday–Friday) to be coordinated with the Clinical Director.

At Embark Benton, we provide an ideal setting for residential treatment, thoughtfully designed with the understanding that individuals and families heal best in homelike environments filled with safety, comfort, and nurturing. Our program serves male adolescents ages 12-17, who live in a family-style lodge that encourages community and interpersonal connections.

Spanning 55 beautiful acres, our campus becomes an expanded classroom offering activities such as biking, hiking, parkour, and equine therapy. 

 

As a primary therapist, you’ll be responsible for determining the best therapeutic approaches to restore health and well-being in our students. You will work alongside an experienced Executive Director, Clinical Director, and a dedicated team of residential staff, all committed to facilitating lasting, positive change for young people and their families.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Therapeutic Services: Conduct individual, group, and family therapy sessions using evidence-based practices, including daily group therapy and monthly Adventure Day programming.
  • Assessment & Planning: Perform risk assessments, biopsychosocial evaluations, and treatment planning; adjust individualized plans to support client-centered care and therapeutic progress.
  • Collaboration & Supervision: Embrace a collaborative model through weekly 1:1s, group supervision, and interdisciplinary treatment team meetings.
  • Family Engagement: Maintain consistent communication with families, offering coaching, support, and involvement in Family Weekend programming.
  • Clinical Standards: Ensure timely documentation, uphold treatment standards, and manage program completion and discharge planning.
  • Therapeutic Environment: Maintain safe boundaries, assess student behavior, oversee equipment safety, and support a structured, relational therapeutic setting.
  • Professional Growth: Benefit from manageable caseloads that foster meaningful client relationships and access ongoing training from nationally recognized leaders.

Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate will possess a license in one of the following disciplines, Social Work (MSW,) Clinical Social Work (CSW,) Clinical Mental Counseling (CMHC), Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Marriage and Family Therapy (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
  • A desire to facilitate client growth through a team approach, working with other care providers
  • A desire to perform and develop counseling/therapeutic expertise in individual, family, and group therapy
  • Preferred - One year of working experience as a licensed therapist leading individual, family, and group therapy sessions
  • Preferred - One year of experience in a residential setting using relational, experiential, and systemic modalities
  • Ability to plan, implement, and adjust a course of treatment as required
  • Ability to pass a state background check, fingerprints and drug screen
  • Drivers license in good standing
