We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our team at Embark Behavioral Health. The ideal candidate will prepare nutritious and delicious meals for our clients and staff while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organization, and food safety. Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and serve well-balanced meals for clients and staff, accommodating dietary restrictions and preferences. 

  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and standards, including proper food storage and handling. 

  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and managing inventory. 

  • Collaborate with the team to create weekly menus and adjust recipes as needed. 

  • Monitor food supplies to maintain adequate inventory levels. 

  • Adhere to the budget for food and kitchen supplies. 

  • Interact with clients and staff in a positive and respectful manner. 

  • Effectively manage time and priorities to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment 

  • Assist in special event meal preparation as needed. 

Qualifications

  • 21+ years of age or older   

  • High school diploma or equivalent G.E.D required  

  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen in concordance with Montana state laws  

  • Ability to pass federal and state background checks  

  • Current Montana driver's license or ability to obtain a Montana driver’s license upon hire  

  • Ability to perform CPR and First Aid  

  • Ability to apply provided training in safe verbal de-escalation and physical intervention with an upset or combative client   

  • Preferred - one year of experience working in a kitchen 

  • Ability to plan, implement, and adjust to program or daily adjustments
