Compensation:

  • Provisional License: $65,000 – $75,000 a year (DOE)
  • Fully Licensed Clinicians: $75,000 – $85,000 a year (DOE)

Embark Behavioral Health is seeking a compassionate and skilled full-time therapist to join our growing Outpatient Clinic in Vienna, Virginia. As a key member of our clinical team, you’ll provide individual and family therapy for adolescents in our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), helping youth and families in the Fairfax County community access high-quality mental health treatment close to home.

 

Our experienced therapists support families through evidence-based care, specializing in treating adolescents facing behavioral health challenges. We offer Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to address anxiety, depression, trauma, and emotional regulation difficulties in teens.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver client-centered care through individualized treatment planning, weekly 1:1s, group supervision, and team collaboration.

  • Facilitate family, group, and individual therapy sessions using evidence-based approaches to support therapeutic goals.

  • Provide consistent family communication, including parent coaching and ongoing support.

  • Ensure thorough documentation and compliance with state regulations, including reporting, confidentiality, and agency coordination.

  • Lead discharge planning and program completion, aligning with outcome measures and treatment standards.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health field.
  • Active Virginia licensure or eligibility for one of the following:
    • Registered Supervisee in Social work, Resident in Marriage and Family Therapy, Resident in Counseling.
    • LCSW, LPC, LMFT.

Preferred Experience:

    • 1+ year of clinical experience in an outpatient, IOP, or PHP setting.
    • Experience using relational, experiential, and systemic modalities.
    • Passion for working with adolescents, young adults, and families.
    • Strong clinical documentation and diagnostic skills.
    • Familiarity with outcome-based treatment planning and assessments.
    • Willingness to obtain a CAQH profile and NPI during onboarding.
