Salary: $80,000 to $90,000, depending on experience
Full-Time | Leadership Role | Therapeutic Residential Program 

As the SUDS Program Director at Embark Behavioral Health, you’ll lead the residential operations of our Substance Use Disorder Services Program, supporting adolescents (ages 12–17) on their path to recovery. In this key leadership role, you’ll collaborate with clinical, academic, medical, and admissions teams to ensure a safe, structured, and missions-driven environment. You’ll shape program culture, guide team development, and help deliver transformative care to teens and their families.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Executive Director to set the strategic direction of residential operations for the Substance Recovery Program.
  • Lead and manage residential staff, including hiring, training, performance evaluation, and professional development.
  • Oversee individualized student development plans, ensuring effective supervision and communication with families and referring professionals.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team and management meetings to ensure alignment across departments.
  • Ensure all staff are trained in delivering services within a therapeutic milieu and adhering to policies and procedures.
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate activities with community groups and external organizations to enhance student engagement and program visibility.
  • Contribute to program development initiatives and implementation of best practices.
  • Manage departmental payroll processes, including timecard approvals and leave requests.
  • Participate in the monthly on-call rotation, providing after-hours support and crisis intervention as needed.

Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Sociology, Human Services, or a related field
  • 8 years' experience working with adolescents in therapeutic settings; experience in substance recovery treatment programs preferred
  • Demonstrated excellence in client care and team development
  • Strong decision-making skills and ability to manage crises effectively
