Embark Behavioral Health is looking for a Clinic Director who aligns with our mission of reducing adolescent and young adult anxiety, depression and suicide to staff an OP, IOP and PHP clinic in Vienna, Virginia.

Embark operates facilities across the US that support adolescents, young adultsand their families by offering a full continuum of care from Long Term Residential to our IOP/PHP clinics to virtual outpatient care. Our local IOP/PHP clinics are a critical part of our strategy to increase access to life-saving mental health treatments for families with insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Clinicians, Office Manager and Clinical Support Staff with compassion, while overseeing outcome measure collection, providing effective crisis management support, and ensuring accurate documentation practices
  • Build collaborative relationships with the onsite treatment team, clients, and parents to foster a supportive and client-focused care approach.
  • Drive program compliance and collaborate with staff, admissions, enrollment, and leadership to raise operational standards and surpass regulatory requirements.
  • Play a key role in recruiting and retaining exceptional clinical talent, building a team that thrives on our mission.
  • Promote a culture of engagement and satisfaction, maintaining positive eNPS scores and fostering a supportive workplace.
  • Responsible for overall leadership of the administrative and clinical team in the development and implementation of short-and long-range plans, policies, and other activities.
  • Adheres to and is responsible for the financial management of the program, including the development and implementation of the annual budget.
  • Ensures and is responsible for the development, implementation, and accomplishment of the program’s annual goals.
  • Responsible for the oversight of hiring, onboarding and training systems for all employees.
  • Responsible for leading operations aspects of the program including reviewing and evaluating the results of program activities, ensuring that business obligations are being fulfilled, allocating resources for greater program effectiveness and efficiency, developing organizational and administrative policies and program objectives for Board consideration.
  • Supervise therapists, nurses, and other members of the treatment team as well as members of the leadership team for the clinic.
  • Oversight of contractors and vendors.
  • Supervise the clinical treatment (both individual and group) of each client including the creation and adjustments of master treatment plans.
  • Internally and externally promotes the Mission Statement and Vision of the organization.
  • Oversees the maintenance and improvements of facilities, including expansions.
  • Assure the program is complying with and maintaining appropriate standards according to Embarks standards and all regulatory agencies.
  • Oversight and development of relationships with referent systems and clients.
  • Responsible for monitoring all program admissions and discharges.
  • Guides and fosters all employee relations.
  • Provides a safe and healthy environment for clients, employees, parents, contractors, visitors, etc.
  • Responsible for risk management including individual risk screening, conducting investigations, conducting root cause analysis, and utilizing data to identify risk patterns and trends.
  • Maintains consistent awareness of legal and regulatory issues and the action steps required to ensure longevity of the program.
  • Applies good business practice and exemplary customer service to all stakeholders.
  • Serves as the leader for L10 meetings and holds weekly/biweekly 1:1 meetings with all staff under direct supervision.
  • Other duties that in are in alignment with the position as assigned by the Regional Executive Director or Division President.

Qualifications

  • Minimum master's Degree in Behavioral Sciences - Social Work (MSW,) Clinical Social Work (CSW,) Clinical Mental Counseling (CMHC), Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or a related discipline.
  • Fully Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or equivalent in the state of Virginia is required.  Full Licensure in Maryland and DC a plus.
  • A Clinic Director at Embark MUST be authorized to provide clinical supervision in the state where the clinic is located by the appropriate state licensing agency. 
  • A Clinic Director should have strong leadership experience with a proven track record of managing others.
  • A desire to facilitate client growth through a team approach, working with other care providers.
  • A desire to perform and develop counseling/therapeutic expertise in individual, family, and group therapy.
  • Strong People Manager with excellent team-building skills
  • Preferred -Two years of working experience as a licensed therapist leading or supervising individual, family, and group therapy sessions.
  • Ability to plan, implement, and adjust a course of treatment as required.
  • Ability to pass a state and federal background check as well as drug screening.
