Annual Salary: $60,000
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (flexible)
Hybrid role | Occasional evening calls required

 

Embark Behavioral Health is hiring an Academic Coordinator to guide families and students through the admissions and academic process. In this role, you’ll be a trusted point of contact for parents and teens, helping them understand our academic approach and ensuring a smooth transition from intake to discharge. You’ll work closely with students during school hours, assist families with documentation, and support post-discharge follow-up—all while collaborating with internal teams to maintain accurate records and outcomes.

 

Your work will directly impact the student experience and family satisfaction, making a measurable difference in their journey toward healing and growth.

Responsibilities

  • Family Admissions Support:
    • Conduct in-person intake meetings with parents and teens, explaining academic structure and expectations.
    • Complete intake surveys and maintain clear, empathetic communication throughout the process.
  • Student Engagement:
    • Coordinate with teachers to meet individually with students for survey completion
    • Provide students with a focused space to complete surveys and offer one-on-one guidance as needed.
  • Post-Discharge Coordination:
    • Send discharge surveys via email and follow up with families to ensure completion.
  • Administrative & Outcomes Support:
    • Assist the Clinical Director with outcomes-driven audits and reporting.
    • Make phone calls to parents and guardians for updates and coordination.
  • Flexibility:
    • Onsite for approximately 6 hours daily; occasional evening calls from home.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field, required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for engaging with students and families.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams)
  • Highly organized with efficiently managing calls and emails
  • 1-2 years of leadership experience, preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience working with diverse learners in an academic or residential setting; Special Education experience, preferred.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
