Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Are you ready to create joy and heal generations? Embark Behavioral Health in Independence, MO is expanding, and we are seeking a passionate and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team!

As a Maintenance Technician at our residential campus for teenagers, you’ll work with the team to ensure our facilities, equipment, and grounds are well-maintained. Your daily tasks will include plumbing repairs, electrical work, carpentry (painting, installing doors, and tiling), and grounds upkeep. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to plan and facilitate seasonal and ongoing maintenance projects, ensuring efficient operations and high-quality work

 

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks including IT, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and groundskeeping

 

  • Oversee and maintain safety measures, ensuring facilities are clean, functional, and well-kept

 

  • Manage inventory, order supplies, and ensure timely completion of maintenance requests

 

  • Conduct regular property inspections, identifying and addressing maintenance needs

Qualifications

 
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in general maintenance, remodeling, or construction with a proven ability to complete high‑quality work with strong attention to detail, preferred.

 

  • Broad knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems, including diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance.

 

  • Experience with IT, internet network basics, phone systems, alarm systems, fire panels, and security camera systems, including troubleshooting and minor installation. 

 

  • Skilled in sheetrock, drywall repair, painting, finish work, door repairs, locksmithing, rekeying, and key management.

 

  • Proficient in the safe use of hand tools, power tools, yard machinery, generators, and other maintenance equipment.

 

  • Ability to perform both interior and exterior maintenance, including landscaping, grounds upkeep, and general facility repair.

 

  • Knowledge of maintenance safety protocols, OSHA standards, and emergency procedures; CPR/First Aid Certified or willing to complete employer‑provided training. Must maintain a current Missouri driver’s license
